Surprise her with a late birthday celebration for the two of you.
Be honest with her and tell her you forgot.
Show her that your forgetfulness has nothing to do with your feelings for her. One good way to show her you care is by emphasizing the fact that you don't need it to be a holiday for you to show her how your feeling, special things can happen any day.
I am sure if you are honest and creative she will be more than forgiving if not flattered.

Romance and Dating in the 1990s

Here we are, dating in the 1990s. Probably one of the worst decades for dating in recent history. Many men are unsure of the rules, as are many women: Is it sexist if he holds open the car door? Who should pay for dinner? Not to mention some new developments that started in the 1980s such as an increased awareness of date rape, and the still ever present, looming danger of AIDS.

  1. Dating leads to intimacy, but not necessarily to commitment. Love and romance are enjoyed solely for their recreational value.
  2. Dating tends to skip the "friendship" stage of a relationship. If romantic attraction instead of common interests is the reason for dating, the relationship will last only as long as the romantic feelings.
  3. Dating often mistakes a physical relationship for love, resulting in emotional confusion.
  4. Dating often isolates a couple from other vital relationships, leaving important friendships in disrepair.
  5. Dating takes lots of time and energy, which can distract young adults from their primary responsibility of preparing for the future.
  6. Dating can cause discontentment with God's gift of singleness, a season in life unmatched for growth, learning and service.
  7. Dating creates an artificial environment for evaluating character. It doesn't say anything about a person's character or ability to be a good husband or wife.
