Spring/Summer 2007 Swimwear

Here are the top swimsuits for the summer of 2007 at Big Girl's Bras. (They also sell swimwear). I thought these suits were I nice mixture of stylish and flattering...(the two don't always go together!).

The most popular suit is the Blue Tankini suit, (Tankini Twist Front Swimsuit with Under wire by Sunsets - $69.00) with the looser fabric around the tummy (some of us need that).

Next is the red suit, (Freya Soda Under wired Halter Swimsuit $66.00) which is flattering, provides a little lift, and is a real attention grabber! (Not for the shy!)

There are two "plunge" suits in the mix, the simple light blue swimsuit (Fantasie of England Fiji Under wire Plunge Swimsuit at $114, a bit pricey, but at the time of this writing is currently on sale for $96.90).

The second plunge suit is the slightly hipper (retro 70s) brown suit (Fantasie of England Swimsuit Hespera Plunge Under wire
$104.00 Limited Sale: $88.40 - I'm SOLD!) with the little belt. Personally, I would go for the brown suit between the two, although if you are fair skinned, then the blue is better! (Brown will make you look like a ghost.)

Finally, amongst the top 3 most popular are the "swim separates" and I am not sure what they are wearing for bottoms, but the first (Fantasie of England Fiji Under wired Balcony Bikini Top $85.00) or "balcony" top (providing the best view?) and the balcony padded swim top (Fantasie of England Hespera Under wired Padded Balcony Bikini Top $92.00) are supposedly flying off the shelves/hangers as we speak!!

Swimsuit styles have never been so all-inclusive, incorporating both the more modest styles reminiscent of the '50s and '60s and the barely there bikinis from the 1970s onwards.  Finally, even women who don't have the figure of a 13 year old girl can buy a very stylish swimsuit - even a bikini - that is figure flattering.

With all the different styles available, there is something hip for everyone. Many stores, such as Nordstrom, are selling two-piece suits separately, but offer the same swimsuit in several different styles, so that you can select each piece that is the most flattering for your figure. My Favorites

La Blanca by Rod Beattie Halter Bikini. Hammered ring details the center of a halter bikini top, shaped with a ruched band under the bust. - I like this one because it is very glamorous, looks like it would stay on in the water, and would actually look better on a woman with a few more curves - not a stick suit!
