AN EASY COMPANY DINNER, American

Betty Crocker Kitchen Clinic 1942

The bride was giving her first company dinner. She'd read and heard that smart hostesses prepared as much of the food in the morning as they possibly could, so they wouldn't be stampeded with half a dozen things to do at the same time after the guests arrived.

Because it was summer she chose the following menu:
