ANGIE'S CHILI RECIPE, American

Ingredients
  • GARBANZO BEANS
  • KIDNEY BEANS
  • GROUND TURKEY
  • A1 STEAK SAUCE
  • SPAGHETTI SAUCE
  • CANNED CORN
Preparation Instructions

Put stuff in crock pot, do strange chili dance.

I just made a variation of this chili: I don't have a crock pot so I used a big stock pot instead. I substituted soy sauce and mustard for the A-1 steak sauce, added some fresh, chopped parsley, used stewed tomatoes instead of spaghetti sauce and used pinto beans instead of garbanzo. I also didn't have any ground turkey, so I made it meatless. Then I added salt, black pepper, paprika and cayenne. In short, the only things my version has in common with my sister's recipe are the kidney beans and the corn. I got the general idea from this recipe and then just used what I had in the house. Works too. As a nice, simple side, I made biscuits using the recipe on my Trader Joes pancake and waffle mix box. Yummy.
