DESSERT

Basic Truffle Mix, American

Ingredients
  • 200 grams of good dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 cup of thickened cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence, I have also used 1 teaspoon of
  • Frangellico instead of the vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup of cocoa
Preparation Instructions

Place the chocolate and cream in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 3 minutes stirring every minute until the chocolate is melted. Add the vanilla essence. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or until firm. Place the cocoa in a shallow dish, using two teaspoons of mixture, roll in cocoa to cover. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper in the refrigerator. Will keep for 1 week in a airtight container.
