RECIPES FROM THE RETRO HOUSEWIFE

APPETIZER

CALIFORNIA FRUIT MIX, American

Ingredients
  • 8 cups orange chunks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups pineapple tidbits
  • 2 cups sliced bananas
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh cherries
Preparation Instructions

Pour orange chunks into a bowl. Add sugar and mix. Add lemon juice and remaining fruit with its syrup, Submerge banana slices to keep color and keep the fruit refrigerated. Serve as appetizer, dessert or on greens as a salad. Serves 25.
