APPETIZER

CELERY CHEESE SPREAD, American

From October 3, 1944 Ames Daily Tribune in a column entitled "War Kitchen"

Ingredients
  • Three ounces cottage cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons butter or fortified margerine
  • ½ teaspoon onion juice
  • 2 teaspoons cream
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
Preparation Instructions

Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Spread on slices of French or Viennese bread.
