DESSERT

CHESS PIE, American

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation Instructions

Cream butter or margarine, add sugar gradually, add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, stir well and add vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes in hot oven (400°). Reduce heat to 250° and bake 35 minutes longer.
