MAIN COURSE

CHINESE BARBECUE SPARERIBS (Nan Ju Pei Ku), Chinese

Ingredients
  • 2 ½ lbs. spareribs
  • 3 small pieces of garlic
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. nanju (can be bought in Japanese store)
  • 1 tbsp. sherry wine (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp, catsup
  • 1 tbsp. pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp. soy bean paste
Preparation Instructions

Wash ribs. Mix all ingredients into paste. Rub over spareribs. Heat oven to 360°. Place ribs in roasting pan and roast for 10 to 15 minutes. Then turn to low heat and roast for 30 to 40 minutes. Take out and cut into separate pieces with bone and meat on each.
