RECIPES FROM THE RETRO HOUSEWIFE

APPETIZER

CHOKAE-KUI (Baked Clam), Korean

Ingredients
  • 2 cans minced clam
  • 1/3 cup mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. onion, chopped
  • a little garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup green peas, cooked
  • 3 stalks green onion, finely chopped
  • dash of pepper and Accent
Preparation Instructions

Drain clams from can. Mix well with all the vegetables and eggs.

Either bake in one pan or make individual size. We use clam shells for baking. Just bake long enough to cook eggs (350° --8 to 10 minutes). Serves 5.

(Other shell-fish, like crab, can be cooked the same way).
