DESSERT

Cinnamon Crisps, American

Ingredients
  • ½ lb. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 ½ t. cinnamon
  • ½ t. salt
  • 1 t. baking powder
Preparation Instructions

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder, Add to the creamed mixture. Chill about 1 hour for easy handling.

Roll out on a floured board. To ⅛ inch thick and cut in desired shape. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350˚ for 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove cookies from pan immediately. Cool on wire racks. Store in air tight container.
