Cranberry Relish, American
Cranberry Relish is a Change of Pace.
For a change of pace, make jellied cranberry nut relish for holiday meals. Combine 1 (14 ounce) jar of cranberry-orange relish with ½ cup of finely chopped pecans. Dissolve 1 (8 ounce) package of grapefruit or strawberry punch flavor gelatin in ½ cup of boiling water. Stir into relish and chill until firm in a pretty serving dish. Makes about 2½ cups.

I would like to thank Newspaperarchive for putting together such a fabulous service, and placing our Nation's history right at our fingertips. Many of these wonderful recipes are ones I stumbled upon quite by accident while sleuthing through the decades in my quest to assemble the world of the American housewife. RH
