SOUPSDICKE LINSENSUPPE (Thick Lentil Soup), GermanIngredients
Preparation InstructionsSoak lentils overnight in water with the baking soda. Strain lentils, add fresh water, and boil about 1 hour. Add meat, vegetables and other ingredients to lentils. Boil until meat is done and lentils are soft. Brown flour in shortening, thin out with a little cold water, add to boiling soup and stir. Spice with vinegar and a dash of sugar.
