1950sExercises By Josephine Lowman, 2008-09-10Dear Retro Housewife, My mother who is 70 years old remembers a small book of exercises that Josephine Lowman had back in her younger years. She was wanting to try to get a copy of that book. She said that these exercises were the best she had ever done and she would like to have them again. The only two books I could find by Josephine Lowman is a book called "Why grow old?". and another book called "Four Weeks to Beauty and a Lovelier Slimmer You". Both are currently available as used books at Alibris (I have linked to each book.) ![]() STAND TALL. Raise your arms forward, chest level. Grasp the left wrist with the right hand and the right wrist with the left hand. Keep the hands in this position as you raise your arms overhead. Pull back. Return arms to chest level and continue ten times the first day, gradually increasing the number of times. This exercise will reverse round shoulders - flat bust condition.
