Always being practical, thrifty and reasonable can make life a bit dull. Every once in awhile we gals have to pull out the peacock feathers, spend more than we should on shoes, perfume, a new dress or the perfect handbag! Why? Because it gives our spirits a lift, lets us dream a bit and perhaps makes us feel just a tad bit naughty and playful.
It also gives us a chance to acknowledge all of the hard work and sacrifice that goes hand and hand with being a wife and a mother. These are things we buy just for ourselves...because we are worth it!

This is a photo of the Sandals Resort in Antigua and even though I have
never been there, I know deep, deep in my heart that it is fabulous.
Supposedly, this paradise is always voted "The World's Leading Honeymoon
Resort". Also, NO KIDS ALLOWED! (We all love our kids, but sometimes
those are beautiful words...) Would somebody please book this and go,
and send us all pictures so that we may live vicariously through you? I
would volunteer, but can't swing it at the moment. RH
Topaz is fabulous! Aren't these pretty? I like these stones because they are unique...they go beyond the usual, and that's fabulous!
Fabulous Shoes

Nothing is more feminine and fabulous than a highly impractical pair of
pink suede sandals with a 4 and 3/4" heel! Your back and your bank
account will hurt, but darn will you look great!
How do you know when you have a fabulous pair of shoes? My little sister
has a pair of Green Strappy Sandals by Nine West that were absolutely
MAGIC! I found this out when I wore them to a party in San
Francisco...I swear that at least 90% of the women at the party, and a
remarkable percentage of the (straight!) MEN came up to me to complement
my shoes. Never before, nor since have I had such a reaction to a pair
of shoes. The power of the perfect pair of shoes should not be
underestimated; Those shoes could make you a star or topple governments!
