RECIPES FROM THE RETRO HOUSEWIFE

SALAD

GURKENSALAT (Cucumber Salad), German

Ingredients
  • 2 cucumbers
  • Fresh dill, minced (crushed se may be used if fresh dill is not available)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dash of sugar
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp, salad oil
Preparation Instructions

Peel cucumbers, cut into very thin slices, add salt, pepper, sugar, dill, vinegar and oil. Let stand a while before serving. Serves 4.
