SALADHORENSO NO OSHITASHI (Spinach Dressed with Sesame), JapaneseIngredients
Preparation InstructionsBoil some water in a saucepan, put the spinach in root downward. Boil about 3 minutes. Parch the sesame seeds in a frying pan, grind in a dry suribach (earthenware mortar used for grinding), or grinder; add the shoyu and grind again. Gut the spinach into 1 1/2-inch lengths, press the water out. Mix with the dressing of sesame, shoyu, sugar and glutamate. Serve in small bowls. Serves 3.
