Syrup:Preparation InstructionsSeparate shredded wheat squares into halves. Arrange halves on bottom of medium size ungreased deep baking pan. Sprinkle the ground walnuts and sugar over halves; pour melted butter sparingly over them. Cover with other halves of shredded wheat. Bake at 20 minutes at 325°. Cool. Syrup:Prepare syrup: boil the sugar, water and cinnamon about 5 minutes and pour hot over cooled shreddies and let soak until completely absorbed. Serve with whipped cream on top.
