RECIPES FROM THE RETRO HOUSEWIFE

DESSERT

KAVEKREM TEJSZINHABBAL (whipped cream coffee), Hungarian

Ingredients
  • ½ pint strong black coffee
  • 6 ozs. Powdered sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 9 tbsp. whipped cream
Preparation Instructions

To strong black coffee, add 3 ozs. Powdered sugar, cook until thick. Cream egg yolks and 3 ozs. Powdered sugar, add gradually into the first mixture, stirring constantly. When thick, remove from the stove and stir until cold. Add whipped cream, mix thoroughly and chill.
