SAUCES

KÖNIGSBERGER KLOPS GRAVY, German

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp, shortening
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup capers
  • several bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dash of sugar
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
Preparation Instructions

Brown flour in fat, add 2 cups cold water slowly, stir and cook until smooth. Add rest of anchovies, bay leaves, capers, vinegar and wine, dash or sugar, mustard. Stir well and simmer a few minutes.

Goes with: KÖNIGSBERGER KLOPS - This dish has it's own gravy to go with it.
