Thank you to Vivianblueeyes for sending in this recipe! Even though most of the war took place elsewhere, the US had rationing so that ample supplies could be sent to the troops. Housewives made do with what was available. RH
"This was my mom's recipe but it was developed by my grandmother during WWII during rationing."
Cook the pasta as usual and then add all the other ingredients. Stir together and let simmer for an hour or two while all the flavors meld together. Add a touch of paprika on top for garnish before serving.
