Mc Red Devil's Food Cake, American
RECIPE OF THE WEEK TESTED AND APPROVED BY MCCORMICK CONSUMER BOARD
Cream together shortening, sugar, McCormick Vanilla and 1 egg. Mix to smooth paste and blend in: cocoa, McCormick Cinnamon, McCormick Red Food Color and hot coffee. Sift together cake flour, salt and baking soda. Add alternately with sour milk or buttermilk and pour into well greased tube cake pan and bake in moderate oven (350° F) for 55 to 60 minutes.
