SAUCES

MUSHROOM SAUCE, Czechoslovakian

Ingredients

• Mushrooms, fresh
• Salt
• Caraway seeds
• Pepper
• Butter
• Beef broth
• Flour
• 6 tbsp sour cream (approximately)
• 1 or 2 egg yolks

Preparation Instructions

Slice fresh mushrooms, add salt, caraway seeds, a little pepper and stew in melted butter. Add a little beef broth. In another pan brown flour in melted butter, add a little beef broth, mushrooms and boil for awhile. Mix about 6 tbsp. sour cream with a little flour, add 1 or 2 beaten egg yolks. Add to the sauce and bring to a boil. Serve with boiled beef and Czech dumplings.
