Glamorous DessertSpread this elegant frosting ever a plain store-bought cake and you'll have a glamorous dessert. Whip a half pint of whipping cream stiff and fold in a half-pound package of melted chocolate bits. Spread over the cake and top with slivered toasted almonds.

NORSK JULEKAKE (Norwegian Christmas Cake), Norwegian
Dissolve yeast cakes 1 tbsp, sugar and 1 tbsp. flour in ½ cup lukewarm (scalded; milk. Melt batter, add sugar, cardamom seeds and lukewarm milk. Mix in the flour and yeast mixture and beat well. Let rise for 2 hours. Then mix in citron and raisins. Pour into tube or bread forms (greased) and brush top with melted butter. Let rise again. Bake for about 1 hour at 350° F.
