RECIPES FROM THE RETRO HOUSEWIFE

DESSERT

OZARK PUDDING, American

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped, peeled apples
  • 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation Instructions

Beat eggs and sugar together until creamy. Stir in sifted ingredients. Add vanilla, nuts and apple. Mix well. Pour mixture into a large greased pie pan and bake 35 minutes at 350°, Cut into wedges and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
