SALAD

PERFECTION SALAD, American

Ingredients
  • 2 T. granulated gelatin
  • ½ c. cold water
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • ½ c. vinegar
  • 1 lemon - juice
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 ½ sliced celery
  • 1 ½ c. shredded cabbage
  • 3 pimientos, chopped
Preparation Instructions

Prepare the vegetables. Soak the gelatin in the cold water 10 minutes, then dissolve with the boiling water. Stir in sugar, salt, vinegar and lemon juice until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Set in a cold place. When the mixture begins to set, stir in the vegetables and pour in mold. Serve on lettuce leaves. Serves 8.
