BAKED GOODS

POPPY SEED FILLING, Romanian

Ingredients
  • 1 package poppy seeds (3 ozs.)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins, chopped
  • Apricot jam to spread on dough
Preparation Instructions

Make a thin syrup with 1 cup water and the sugar; add nuts and raisins or poppy seeds and raisins. Cook slightly. Cool. Use as a filling.
