Retro Gucci Fashion - A Tribute to Gucci:
Retro Gucci and Vintage Gucci

The designer label Gucci has been around since 1921 and like
many fashion houses, it has gone through its ups and downs in popularity
and scandal. One thing has always remained constant though, the extra
something that a Gucci design brings to the table.
The only authentic Gucci I have ever owned is a pair of blue-tinted
sunglasses. I bought them after my sister (the fashion nut) got
herself a pair and I liked them soooo much that I forked over the
almost $300 for a pair of my own. Now being the sensible sister of the
family, I was tempted at first to buy a knock off, and I found plenty of
imitation Gucci sunglasses available, but after you have seen the real
thing, you are spoiled for life.
Now I just try not to look at the real thing because we have private
school tuition and soon college tuition to pay, but someday, when I have
some extra cash, I have a special place in my closet which I will fill
with fabulous Gucci!
I do however, allow myself to look at pictures of Gucci, and it just
so happens that one of my favorite "Look but Don't Touch" stores,
YOOX, is doing a tribute to vintage Gucci, and that I can't resist.
So I am telling myself that it is for
www.retro-housewife.com,
and I am obligated, even duty bound to thoroughly research each piece
of vintage Gucci they have. So here's to doing the responsible thing!
Enjoy!
