MAIN COURSE

SOMERVILLE MEAT LOAF, American

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. chuck beef, ground
  • ¼ c. ground suet
  • 2 small peeled onions, minced
  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. bottled horseradish
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp. minced green pepper
  • ¼ c. catsup
Preparation Instructions

Mix all the ingredients and turn into greased loaf pan. Bake in a moderately hot oven of 400° F. for 60 min. Serves 6. ½ lb. sausage meat may be substituted for an equal amount of the ground beef.
