SWEDISH TEA RING, American

Ingredients
Preparation Instructions

Prepare sweet dough recipe according to directions.   Roll dough into oblong 15" X  9".   Spread with 2 tbsp. softened butter and sprinkle with a mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon.    Roll up tightly, beginning at wide side.   Seal well by pinching edges of roll together  -  then place sealed edge down in ring on lightly greased baking sheet.   Pinch ends together.   With scissors, cut 2/3 of the way through ring at 1 " intervals.   Turn each section on its side.   Place in refrigerator for several hours  -  remove  -  bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.   Frost with quick white icing and decorate with nuts and cherries.   (Makes 1 ring.)
