Swiss Steak, American

The JOURNAL thanks all who sent in recipes for the special Christmas Recipe Section. Without these recipes, the section would not have been possible. The COMMERCE JOURNAL, Commerce, Texas, Thursday, December 16, 1971

Ingredients
  • Roast
  • sliced onions
  • chopped bell pepper
  • sliced olives
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ t. salt
  • ½ t. sugar
  • 3 t. olive juice
Preparation Instructions

Brown roast and place in baking dish. Cover with sliced onions, chopped bell pepper and sliced olives. Pour one can of tomato soup with ½ cup water, ½ t. salt, ½ t. sugar and 3 t. olive juice over meat. Let simmer 3 hours at 350 degrees in covered dish.
