Most Women Prefer Recipes In Cooking

As many as 93.1 out of every 100 American housewives refer to printed recipes as being helpful in providing variety in their meals.

Most of the housewives are willing -for the sake of variety- to give almost any "good sounding" recipe a chance. Thus, 76.4 per cent said they would try a published recipe that sounded good.

In a survey conducted by the Home Makers Guild of America, on war-time recipe problems, a majority of the women said they were suffering from a shortage of recipes that would help them use leftovers wisely and well.
